I’ve always believed that the best camera in the world is the one you have with you.
For years, I’ve had a camera in my hand - obsessed with the way a certain light hits a building or how a split-second expression can tell a whole story.
But for a long time, I kept that passion on the sidelines.
Everything changed on a red-dirt road in Kerr Layen, The Gambia.
I travelled there to support the incredible charity African Village Dream.
I took my iPhone 17 Pro Max, a drone, and a gimbal, intending to just 'capture a few clips.'
Instead, I found a calling.
Surrounded by the vibrant energy of the Gambian people and the physical grit of building school foundations, I discovered my creativity shifting into a higher gear.
I wasn't just filming; I was engaging in documentary filmmaking that would tell a powerful story.
This experience sparked a new passion that I could see blending seamlessly with my skills in wedding videography, as both forms are about capturing moments that matter and preserving a legacy.
There is a common misconception that 'professional' means 'big.'
Big cameras, big crews, and big disruptions.
I've chosen a different path.
By mastering mobile cinematography, I offer something traditional crews can't: intimacy.
This approach is particularly effective in documentary filmmaking and wedding videography, as I can blend into your wedding crowd, sit on the floor of your workshop, or trek into remote locations without slowing anyone down.
I am self-trained, but I am not an amateur.
My 'office' has ranged from the heat of West Africa to the edit suite in my home in the UK.
I've learned that the secret to a great film isn't the price of the lens - it’s the timing of the cut, the choice of the music, and the ability to see the 'special' in the 'ordinary.'
When you hire me, you aren’t just getting a guy with a phone.
You’re getting: The Speed of Mobile: I often have teasers ready while the event is still fresh in everyone's minds.
A Drone's Eye View: I use my DJI Mini 2 to add that cinematic scale that only aerial footage can provide.
A 'Day-One' Work Ethic: As I proved with my Gambia project - which I edited the same day I landed back in the UK - I don’t stop until the story is told.
I’m not interested in just making 'content.'
I’m interested in creating memorable experiences through documentary filmmaking and wedding videography that make you feel something.
Whether it’s the nervous laugh before a wedding ceremony or the proud moment a business opens its doors, I’m here to make sure that moment lives forever.
I’m Just Connor. Let’s tell your story.
